The Gates Tennis Center is a public tennis facility that was awarded the 2008 USTA Outstanding Large Public Facility of the year. The center is 'pay as you play' with no residency requirements. Please refer to our website www.gatestenniscenter.info for more information on every program.
Courts are available for public usage. Courtesy reservations are allowed on a day ahead basis. Price is $6 per court hour for singles or doubles / $8 per court hour during prime-time (Mon.-Fri. 5-10 pm and Sat. & Sun. 8am-2pm) .
The Gates Tennis Center offers one of the largest ladders in the country at the following levels: Men (5.0, 4.5, 4.0, 3.5, 3.0), Women (4.5, 4.0, 3.5, 3.0, 2.5). The computerized ladder offers printouts with names, phones, and time available to play for those that desire competition within your own level. The fee to participate on the ladder is $12 per season.
“LATE NIGHT” DOUBLES
Gates now offers “Top Dog” Doubles Monday thru Thursday at 8pm with levels for almost everybody. No partner needed to sign-up. Rotate partners, keep score, and join our “friendly competitive” co-ed league! Pricing varies based on your participation. See front desk for details!
The Gates Tennis Center has a complete pro shop offering a full line of rackets and accessories. The Pro Shop sells all racquets, matches advertised internet prices and guarantees its products for defects. The shop offers a professional 24 hour string and grip service.
Gates Tennis Center offers lessons seven days a week scheduled at your convenience. Lessons range from $45-$75 depending on the pro. We are pleased to offer lessons from a staff of six to ten pros who give great lessons to all ability levels. Please inquire at the front desk or call 303-355-4461.
The Gates Tennis Center has a ball machine, which is an affordable way for adults and juniors alike to practice. It is available seven days a week at a cost of $12 per hour during non-prime time and $14 per hour during prime-time, with a day ahead reservations.
Advertised group classes are based on $16 / hour and are a great way to improve your game. The classes are offered to adults and juniors of all levels and offer a 6 to 1 ratio. Private groups may be arranged if the advertised classes do not accommodate your needs.
The Junior Program will offer private lessons to juniors year round. Advertised junior group lessons are also offered. In addition, our comprehensive junior program also offers ladders, USTA league play, and “Tennis Everyday” - a summer program that offers each player up to 15 hours per week of tennis with total flexibility for family planning.
The Gates Tennis Center offers leagues for every age and level of player. They include USA Adult, USTA Spring Mixed, USA Senior, USA Super Senior, Senior Breakfast, Twilight Singles, CTA Daytime Doubles, Fall Mixed, USA Junior Team Tennis, and others TBA.
The Gates Tennis Center plays host to the Girls and Boys 5A State Championships, the Colorado State Open Tennis Championships and many other smaller events for individuals and companies. The center has openings for company mixers, birthday parties, and other events. Please see the front desk
General Rules & Procedures
A. Open year round seven days a week. April through end of October: 7 or 8am until 9 or 10pm. November through March 9am until 5pm.
B. Payment for services will be accepted via cash, check, or charge card. (Visa or MC)
C. Pets and bicycles must be left outside the premises at all times.
D. GTC can assume no responsibility for lost or stolen articles.
COURT RESERVATION SYSTEM AND RATES
A. All players must check in at the front desk, even those who use the backboard. Payment for courts, lessons, or the ball machine will always precede usage of the courts.
B. Courts may be reserved by telephone and can be booked up to one day in advance. Reservations will be taken at opening time and not before.
C. A player may reserve a court for 2 hours for any given day under his/her name. Players may not reserve additional courts for other people including husband, wife, or children if they have already reserved 2 hours under their own name. One reservation per person/ per day.
E. Players must conclude play after prescribed time regardless of the status of the match if other players are waiting. Players wishing to play after their designated times may return to the reservation desk to reserve additional time.
E. Players who play longer than their designated times are on the honor system to return to the reservation desk to play for the additional time after play has concluded.
F. Reserved courts that are not claimed 5 minutes after the designated starting time will be assigned to others waiting to play.
G. 4 hour cancellation policy is in effect for all court and ball machine reservations. Reservations cancelled or not used within the 4 hour time period will be subject to full court costs. Check your schedule before making a reservation, so as to avoid court costs with late cancellations. Repeat offenders may be asked to pay in advance to hold a reservation.
A. Sorry, jogging shoes will not be permitted on the courts. They lack lateral support and therefore are not safe. Furthermore, jogging shoes mark up the courts with black marks and hence will not be permitted on the courts.
B. The locker rooms are for tennis patrons only.
C. Please refrain from taking children onto the courts while playing.
D. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy on private lessons regardless of the reason. Customers will be responsible for payment of missed lessons. (Charge, check, or cash)
