Congratulations to the 7.0 Red Mixed Team

The Gates Mixed Doubles 7.0 Red Team (a.k.a. the "Red Devil Ducks") finished 1st in the Central Division thus being invited to compete in the State Championship Tournament. The "Ducks", led by captains JD Deveaux and Helen Young, won their way into the finals where they competed against North Jeffco for top honors. The match for 1st place came down to a 3rd set tie-breaker. The Ducks were two points away from winning it all with the score tied 8 to 8. Although ultimately they did not win it was a great run on the court and great comraderie off. Well done "Ducks" and we look forward to seeing you in action this summer/fall.

8.0 Navy Mixed Team - Characters with Game

If you followed the Gates Navy 8.0 mixed team during the season you would wonder how they stayed so slim. They were often spotted during the season eating fresh baked deserts prepared by Kipp Kramer. The team was recognized by opponents as having a great spread of food. Kipp now has a reputation in the tennis community as being the person most likely to make his future wife happy, Kipp got engaged during the season! Gates Navy finished the season undefeated and made it to the semi-finals in districts. - Scott Douglas, Captain

Larry Gabler's 4.5 Men's Team

Larry's team is known for their tough play on the court, another 9 and 0 season, and their great cooking afterwards. Although, Scott Colin's brat (pictured on the left) is looking a lot limper than his play.
