VOLUNTEERING AT GATES
Interested in volunteering at one of the country's best public tennis centers? Read on for general info and a brief FAQ.
Volunteers are an essential part of the formula for any successful public tennis center. Our volunteers come from all corners of the city and a variety of backgrounds; from Lawyers to Artists to High School Students. Your unique set of skills can most likely be used in a creative way at Gates. Our Volunteer program has everything from Accounting to Zoology! (ok - not Zoology, but more than many realize.)
Please complete this application to be considered to join our wonderful team of volunteers. We will add you to receive announcements about upcoming opportunities. Look for our Volunteer Meet-n-Greets which are held a couple of times per year at Gates Tennis Center; that also serve as an orientation. We look forward to having you on our team!

Q: Is there an age requirement to volunteer?
A: You must be at least 16 years or older to volunteer at Gates Tennis Center.

Q: How many hours do I need to volunteer?
A: There is no formal time commitment. Each volunteer can be as much or as little involved as fits into their life. We ask that each volunteer participates in at least one volunteer job request per year.

Q: How will I know when a project comes up and can I say "no"?
A: The project will be sent to all volunteers and we will pick volunteers based on response. If a project or job opportunity does not interest you, you are not required to participate.

Q: Are there any benefits or perks associated with being a volunteer?
A: This is not a "paid" program, but giving back by donating your time and expertise is the reward at the end of the project.

Q: After I fill out my Volunteer Application, what can I expect next?
A: One of our volunteer coordinators will reach out to you with more information in approximately 3-4 days. If you have any difficulties or concerns, please reach out to Sam Hitman directly through email at: samhitman25@gmail.com
